Why eligibility matters
Our credit process is designed to give serious borrowers fast, clear answers. The quickest way to get there is to confirm, before you apply, that your company matches the profile our credit committee finances.
The core criteria
- A minimum of three years of audited financial statements
- Annual revenue of at least USD 10 million, or the equivalent
- Positive EBITDA in at least two of the last three years
- Incorporation in an OECD or FATF-compliant jurisdiction
- Identifiable ultimate beneficial owners holding 25% or more
- A requested amount of at least USD 1 million
What we do not finance
- Pre-revenue or early-stage venture financing
- Entities in FATF high-risk or sanctioned jurisdictions
- Speculative real estate development without pre-sales
Borderline cases
Not every strong business fits neatly into a checklist. A company with a single year of negative EBITDA caused by a one-off event, or an established group whose revenue sits slightly below the threshold but is backed by strong collateral, may still be considered. Explain the context in the Additional information section of the loan request so our bankers can assess it properly.
Credit history questions
The Credit History section asks about past defaults, debt restructurings in the last five years, pending litigation, insolvency proceedings, tax arrears and any sanctions exposure. Answering yes does not automatically lead to a decline. What matters is full and honest disclosure, with details. Undisclosed issues discovered during due diligence are far more damaging than issues explained upfront.
Politically exposed persons
If an owner, director or officer is a politically exposed person (PEP), declare it in the Ownership section. Enhanced due diligence applies, but PEP status on its own is not a reason to decline.
Next step
If your company meets the core criteria, you are ready to prepare your submission. Select Request Loan to begin, or contact our office if you would like to discuss a borderline case first.
